Marco Arias (b. 1988, Santiago de Chile)
Marco Arias (b. 1988, Santiago de Chile) is a London-based visual artist and musician whose work explores Latin American cultural identity and its intersections with contemporary global dynamics. He completed the Turps Studio Programme (London, UK) from 2020 to 2023, where he now serves as a guest mentor, and obtained a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from the University of Chile in 2018. His solo exhibition ADIOSPIKACHU was presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago (2021–2022).
Marco’s work has been exhibited across South America, Europe, and Asia, with his artistic contributions featured in international media and academic publications in Chile, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Mexico, Japan, Sweden, and Finland. He currently coordinates the Chilean Visual Arts Group (CVAG) in the UK, an organisation that connects artists and fosters collaboration and cultural exhange, in connection with the Embassy of Chile and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since 2022, he also collaborates with Hauser & Wirth gallery.

Marco Arias (1988, Santiago de Chile) es un artista visual y músico radicado en Londres. Su obra explora la identidad cultural latinoamericana y sus cruces con el imaginario global contemporaneo. Completó el Turps Studio Programme (Londres, Reino Unido) entre 2020 y 2023, donde hoy participa como mentor invitado. Obtuvo su Master en Artes Visuales en la Universidad de Chile en 2018, y su exposición individual ADIOSPIKACHU se presentó en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Santiago entre los años 2021 y 2022.
La obra de Marco ha sido exhibida en Sudamérica, Europa y Asia, y sus contribuciones artísticas han sido referenciadas en medios internacionales y escritos académicos en países como Chile, Reino Unido, Argentina, México, Japón, Suecia y Finlandia. Actualmente dirige el Chilean Visual Arts Group (CVAG) en el Reino Unido, una organización que potencia la colaboración y el intercambio cultural entre los artistas chilenos en el Reino Unido, en colaboración con la Embajada de Chile y el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores. Además, trabaja en la galería Hauser & Wirth desde el año 2022.
